Vimbox is an educational online platform that hosts Skyeng school lessons. Here the student studies with his teacher using video call, does language exercises, watches training videos, practises his writing and listening skills, tracks his progress and controls the whole educational process.
How does it work?
The student gets access to Vimbox right after the trial lesson. The students then create their profile and learn about the possibilities provided by the platform. After that, they have lessons right on the platform: video chat with a teacher takes half of the screen, while educational content: articles, exercises, theory, audio and video cover the other half of the screen.
The student's progress is displayed in his personal account: his language level, the amount of lessons taken and even the number of learned words.
The platform also includes materials for self-study: homework, word games, audiobooks and essays to practise writing skills.

After the test, the students receive a custom study program and teacher's recommendations.

1. Can I choose/change my teacher?
To change your teacher, please go to the page with information about your current teacher in your personal account and click "Change" under the contact information. After that, your request will be received by our manager who will contact you to select a new teacher.
Changing a teacher is free of charge.
2. Where I can choose the study course?
The study course is discussed at your first trial lesson with a teacher. If during the studies you decide to change the course, you can inform the teacher about it or contact our student care department through phone call, messengers or email. The page "Lessons" has courses that our school provides.
3. How long does it take to get to another language level?
Every level is designed with a specific number of lessons which you can see in your personal account through the widget "Current course". The period, during which you can master the level depends on the person and his entry language skills, frequency of lessons, time spent on doing homework and learning new words.
4. How do you assess the current language level?
The current level of a student is assessed at a free trial lesson with testing and interview with a teacher. At the same lesson, the student receives custom recommendation on his study program.
5. Do you use intelligence systems or CEFR tests to determine the language level?
The knowledge level of a student is determined by CEFR international system. The teacher assesses the student's skills based on Grammar Listening, Reading, Writing, Speaking.
6. How can I listen to my previous lesson?
To listen to your completed lesson, please go to page "My Portfolio", open the tab "Lessons" and choose the lesson you're looking for. Then click the play button to start listening to the recording.
To change your teacher, please go to the page with information about your current teacher in your personal account and click "Change" under the contact information. After that, your request will be received by our manager who will contact you to select a new teacher.
